Autumn is Coming to Your Closets!

Autumn is Coming to Your Closets!

Earlier this Summer I took on the daunting task of Cleaning Out My Closet.

After the benefit of donating the items to charity comes the opportunity to add in some new items to stay on the latest trends.

Fall is the biggest fashion season of the year! As a Mom though I admit I've fallen behind keeping up-to-date with this seasons hottest trends.

Luckily the amazing stylish Georgia Selih was able to give me the low down on the Fall Season's hottest trends.

Take a look below at her spot on advice!

Okay, okay, we know, we still cannot say goodbye to summer, however, not only will autumn be upon us before we know it, but we will stay stuck with last season’s clothes if we don’t prepare on time. So in order to help you get ahead of the curve, dear ladies and gentlemen, here is our pick of the best Autumn 2018 trends. Take notes and hit those stores.

Nineties For Life

Athleisure has been around for a while. And if you are a tracksuit fan, this autumn, you’re in for a treat. Full-tracksuits, bucket hats, lux-y shell suits and those oversized “fugly” sneakers are back. As long as Prada is concerned, we’ll be seeing logo bucket hats and cagoules everywhere. And not just that, how are you feeling about dropped shoulder tees? Because that is going to be this autumn’s basic. Brands like Dior and Vetements really embraced the whole “00's streetwise, skater boy” vibe. All that is left now is to bleach and spike your hair, as well as to put on some tortoise shell square sunglasses.

Brown For Town

You know that UPS delivery man brown? No? How about girl scouts brown? If that rings a bell, have in mind that this will be the shade of the season. We’ll be seeing a lot of double F-clad worker jackets, shearling fleeces, cagoules (again), as well as bark-hued overcoats, deconstructed blazers and bomber jackets, all in, you guessed it – brown. And if you are feeling extra brave, you can get yourself a 90's style brown suit – but milk chocolate brown, not fake tan brown.

Yee-haw

Don’t pack your spurs away just yet. If you visited some of the latest fashion shows, you’ve probably noticed the ABUNDANCE of cowboy boots. They were literally everywhere, paired, of course, with western shirts, denim jackets, and cowboy hats. Also, many brands have now launched some of the best women's jeans we have ever seen in order to go with the whole cowboy vibe. So you should definitely stack up on jeans this season. By the way, did you know jeans were originally made exactly for that – horse riding and hard work (usually on the fields) cowboy purpose? No? Neither did we.

Vertical Logomania

You’ve probably already received the memo that logomania is back, but did you check out the latest update? Here’s a hint: think vertically. Similarly to last autumn, this year designers have done it again, and you could see slogans and logos running down along arms, down the side of pants or simply positioned vertically on the back or front parts of jackets. It is a pretty smart move and a simple way to reference the season without having to develop entirely new lines. Will they do it diagonally next year? Who knows.

Baseball Caps

It is not like these were ever out or something like that, but for autumn 2018 they are the ultimate high fashion styling accessory. And we’re not talking about that flat brim kind that was trending a couple of years ago, but about those 90s-like caps with a curved front. Again those nineties! This autumn, these hats will be vital, especially when worn with football scarfs.

So? How do you feel about these trends? Which one is your favorite? Feel free to leave your comment.

What amazing insight!
