10 Fall Activities I'm Looking Forward To

10 Fall Activities I'm Looking Forward To

I realize my post lately have been few and far between.

Things have gotten pretty hectic since the summer ended and I began going to graduate school to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher!

Finally working towards the career I want after all these years is exciting and fulfilling. It also means that my life is jammed packed.

Between working full time, going to school six hours a week, writing papers, reading text books and running after a 2 year old (WHEW!) there are some days I wonder how I found time to sleep, eat or put away the laundry.

Even with all that I love writing this blog. It's given me the opportunity to share all the wonderful things I've learned over the last few years.

I'm going to be writing less and posting once a week so I can keep sharing during this whirlwind time in my life.

And.....don't call me crazy but even with all that's going on I have a bucket list for Fall (my favorite season)!

Hope you all enjoy and keep coming back each week!

Take A Day Trip Road Trip

Going upstate in the Fall is one of the most relaxing things you can do on a weekend. There’s no way we are going to be able to get away for two whole days this Fall. Luckily, Hudson Valley is only 1 hour away and home to The Great Jack O’ Lantern Blaze! Fall foliage and amazing sculptures.

Produce Picking & Hayride

It’s not Fall without Apple and Pumpkin picking. And you just can’t leave the farm without a hayride.

Go to the OG Beer Garden

Marcelo and I were lucky enough to live a few minutes away from the original New York Beer Garden. It’s still our favorite one in the city.

Host a Bonfire

Have some friends over for warm apple cider and s’mores. It’s a great way to spend a chilly afternoon.

Make a Pumpkin Dinner

After you pick all those pumpkins try making this original and delicious dish for dinner.

Try an Escape Room

I’m not one for haunted houses but an escape room sounds like a great Halloween tradition to start!

Visit a Lighthouse

New Jersey has some pretty amazing light houses. Take a drive, take a walk, see some amazing views all by the ocean.

Sip on Lots of Cider

We love to use this mulling spice to make apple cider when it gets chilly. But don’t forget about sparkling apple cider for festive nights.

Try Zombie's Run

Why just go for a run when you can pretend it’s an episode of The Walking Dead!

Go to the Color Factory

The NYC extension of this rainbowrific museum. Spend the afternoon exploring color interactively. Plus it just looks like the kind of place you can’t leave without a smile!
