Best Oscar Gowns
There were so many incredible Oscar Gowns this year and each woman wearing them looked AMAZING! It really felt like looking at old Hollywood everyone was so glamorous. It was hard to narrow it down but here were the ones that stood out for me.
Let's start with my two favorite of the night.
Kirsten Dunst looked like the ultimate cool girl in elegant Christian Dior Coture with the sexy smoky eye and that necklace I am obsessed with! If this were prom I would have envied her all night.
Brie Larson was also at the top of my list. She looked like an absolute goddess in the flowing black velvet (does anyone ever look bad in Oscar de la Renta?). The beachy hair was a perfect offset and the natural makeup with a pop of red made her stand out all night.
It took me a minute to warm up to Jessica Biel's Kaufman Franco gown but how could you not end up loving this look. And seriously how cute are these two!
Emma Stone in Givenchy rightfully gets the award for Best Gold Gown of the night as well as the award for Best Actress
Speaking of adorable couples. I think this was the year for wives to steal the spolight from their musician husbands. Chrissy Teigan certainly was in her Zuhair Murad dress with a slit that went all the way up.
Taraji P. Henson was rocking the high slit trend as well. She looked flawless in Alberta Ferretti off the shoulder black velvet. And can we talk about that necklace!
I LOVED Viola Davis's drapey off the shoulder gown by Armani. She showed up looking like a winner. The only thing better than her dress was her speech.
Red has been a trend on the red carpet for several years now. This year Ruth Negga nailed it in her high neckline romantic gown by Valentino. If you want red you go for Valentino.
Winter White made a stark contrast to the Red trend on the carpet. Sofia Carson was having an Audrey Hepburn moment in this beautiful Monique Lhuillier gown.
Moana star Auli'i Cravalho also went for the white & gold gown in Rubin Singer. The art deco design made her look like a 1940's glamour girl.
My favorite white dress by far was this sequined Calvin Klein. Naomie Harris looked perfect in the pencil skirt with the long train. And the shoes! Everything about this was classic Calvin Klein.
The woman in white who stole it all was Isabelle Huppert in Armani Privé. She was so chic and elegant it took my breath away.
There was also a show of romantic whimsical gowns on the red carpet. Octavia Spencer had this beautiful silver/blue gown specially made by Marchesa.
Felicity Jones is my spirit animal in this Christian Dior Couture gown. I saw her in the background during another interview in this dreamy gown and began googling for photos. This dress makes you want to live in a ballarina skirt.
Leslie Mann was a presenter for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Scientific and Technical Awards. She's done yellow before but this Zac Posen runway gown is her best yet.
These two cuties were the real show stealers of the night. Absolutely adorable Saniyya Sidney and Sunny Pawar (who stole the show inside as well)
