Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in baby, entertainment, travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Celebrity Body Envy

Celebrity Body Envy

Is there a movie actress who is also a mom in real life that you are jealous of?

I was never jealous of any famous persons life until recently. Now I have one and it is Leslie Mann. She is so tiny and has 2 daughters!

Granted her children are older and I'm sure she has a personal trainer, stylist, make up artist, professional hairdresser, and maaaayyyybeee a personal chef.

Anyway you put it I currently have body envy when I see her. She even looks tiny nine months pregnant in "How To Be Single".

After our wedding we started trying for a baby right away. My hormones went crazy before I was even pregnant and I put on 40 pounds in a few months.

(Above is a photo of me on my wedding day. Looking back I feel ridiculous for thinking my normal body size was 10 pounds too heavy)

One year later I was preggers and began putting on the actual pregnancy weight. Once I had the baby and my milk fully came in, another hormone surge and 20 more pounds has put me at 70 pounds above me original weight.

My sisters keep reminding me that I just had a baby and to give myself a break. It can be difficult when meeting moms whose kids are the same age as mine and they are back to their pre-baby weight already.

Seeing such a super thin mom like Leslie Mann can make me feel inadequate. Also like a silly fool for ever thinking I was overweight before trying to have a baby.

While I don't want to be as thin as Leslie Mann I would like to slim down so that we our little man starts walking I can keep up with him. Also to live a long happy healthy life.

How about you? How is the post baby body treating you? Anything unexpected? Has it been easy for you or more of a challenge than expected? OR do you just not care either way?

On a separate note I think Leslie Mann is a great actress she's hilarious and always strikes the right note between comedy and sentiment. Here are some movies in which she plays a mom (in some her actual children play her kids so sweet)
